The greatest challenge to humanity this century will be the shortage of clean water. Currently half of the fresh water used in the US is consumed through industrial processes such as cooling towers, hydro-mining and frac jobs. Why waste our precious drinking and irrigation water for industrial purposes if there is a cost-effective way to use waste water from industries to produce more energy while also treating it and making it available for other uses?

Eldorado Biofuels specializes in industrial waste water treatment solutions, particularly of water extracted along with oil and gas known as produced water. Currently this water is usually disposed of by re-injecting it into Salt Water Disposals (SWDs). The physical and chemical properties of industrial waste water vary considerably depending on where the water was produced. Major constituents of concern are salinity, oil and grease, inorganic and organic compounds.

Eldorado Biofuels can save oil and gas producers large amounts of money by treating their water and using it for cultivating algae. We understand the vast variety of industrial waste water constituents. After detailed analysis, Eldorado Biofuels has developed a custom water treatment process which will produce the required water quality for a particular planned end use. Eldorado Biofuels has developed leading technologies for the treatment of industrial waste water. Our unique water treatment solutions remove unwanted toxins while preserving wanted constituents. The goal is to recycle treated industrial waste water for applications, such as algae cultivation, certain mining applications and enhanced oil recovery — thereby conserving valuable fresh water.
